About the Role:
Elysium Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Dietitian Specialist to join our team at Thornford Park. As a Specialist Dietitian, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of the dietetic service across the hospital, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide personalized assessment and treatment programs for patients with mental illness and complex care needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the ongoing implementation of the Hospital's Nutrition and Hydration Strategy, enabling patients to make informed healthier choices.
- Manage a caseload, completing assessments, planning, implementing interventions, and evaluating outcomes aligned to care plans.
- Engage in clinical supervision and training to enhance your skill set and development.
- Provide dietetic clinical services on an individual and group basis, collaborating with patients and multidisciplinary teams to develop personalized care plans.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including care notes and written reports, adhering to hospital and professional standards.
- Establish effective communication with patients, carers, and staff, ensuring seamless care pathways.
- Implement and develop evidence-based therapeutic activities to aid patient mental health recovery.
- Provide training and education to patients and staff, promoting a culture of excellence in care.
- Maintain and develop close working relationships with professional and clinical colleagues, ensuring a collaborative approach to patient care.
Requirements:
- Diploma or degree in Dietetics.
- HCPC Registration.
- Knowledge of Mental Health Act 1983 & CPA.
- Experience of working in a similar setting.
