Job Title: Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at a SEN Schools' Group in Cranborne, Dorset. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the development and well-being of our students.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to teaching staff in delivering a broad and balanced curriculum to our students. This will include supporting students with their learning, promoting independence, and contributing to the assessment and recording of their progress.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support and facilitate the learning and independence of students
  • Contribute to planning, preparation, implementation, and evaluation of education programs, plans, and reports
  • Assess, record, and report on students' progress
  • Promote and encourage independence at all times
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date records
  • Ensure safeguarding and health and safety procedures are followed
  • Promote the development of positive social behaviors and self-regulation skills

Requirements:
  • Full UK driving license and access to your own car
  • Level 2 or equivalent in Maths and English
  • Minimum age to work on site is 21
  • Positive and creative approach to meeting young people's needs
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills
  • Competent ICT skills
