About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support students with special educational needs, including Autism and associated conditions. Working alongside our experienced teaching team, you will provide academic and vocational support, helping students excel in their educational and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teaching staff by providing additional support and guidance to students
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of young people at all times
  • Help students achieve their Education and Healthcare Plan (EHCP) targets
  • Implement positive behaviour strategies and adapt to individual needs
  • Accurately document incidents, accidents, and health and safety records
  • Encourage participation in group activities, promoting positive social interactions

  • A passion for working with young people and the ability to build trusted relationships
  • Skills in managing a range of behaviours, including those that challenge
  • A positive, creative approach to problem-solving
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Basic numeracy, literacy, and ICT skills
  • GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4 or equivalent (desirable)
