About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Practice Nurse to join our team at Primary Care Careers. As a Practice Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage long-term conditions, including diabetes, COPD, and asthma, and provide education and support to patients.
- Conduct general treatment room duties, including phlebotomy, ECG recording, and screening.
- Provide wound management and care for patients with various conditions.
- Deliver women's health services, including cervical screening and vaccinations.
- Administer child health and travel immunizations.
- Collaborate with the practice team to ensure effective infection control measures are in place.

Person Specification
- Registered Nurse with current NMC registration and an active PIN.
- Nursing Degree and Fundamentals of Practice Nursing course or equivalent experience/qualifications.
- Competence in managing long-term conditions, including asthma, COPD, and diabetes, and holding relevant certificates or being willing to work towards these competencies.
- Experience in treatment room consultation, phlebotomy, ECG recording, screening, and wound care.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach with excellent communication skills.
