Senior Marine Broker Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Marine Broker to join our UK Marine Broking team in Manchester. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of our varied UK Marine client portfolio, providing exceptional client service and driving account growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with insurers and underwriters
  • Provide technical advice to clients, branches, and colleagues
  • Present terms to clients and networks
  • Review, build, and improve submissions
  • Manage client relationships, including direct clients and networks
  • Conduct client meetings and provide benchmarking and placement advice
  • Administer Global risks and produce and/or deliver tenders
  • Support the development goals and day-to-day functions of the UK Marine Team
About the Opportunity:

The UK Marine Broking team consists of 5 Placing Brokers and 5 Marine Client Managers, all with different strengths in placing various aspects of Marine Insurance. We are looking for someone to enhance the whole team and support our business in placing primarily UK-based clients, including Global placements and Aon Belgium BV secondees for EU placements.

Requirements:
  • Technical knowledge of the Marine Insurance market
  • Experience in handling client relationships
  • Good understanding of insurance market dynamics
  • Ability to deliver exceptional client service
  • Effective communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent understanding and application of compliance and FCA regulation
