As a Residential Care Team Leader, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and supportive environment where our students can thrive. You will be responsible for leading and managing a team of care staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care that meets the individual needs of each student.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Provide effective supervision and appraisal to your team of care staff, identifying training needs and fostering professional development.
  • Manage the daily operations of the residential unit, including rostering, deployment of staff, and ensuring smooth running of all activities.
  • Maintain open communication channels with senior management, families, and other relevant stakeholders, providing regular updates and addressing concerns promptly.
  • Contribute to the assessment and care planning process for each student, utilizing your knowledge of their needs and preferences.
  • Participate in recruitment and selection processes, ensuring that new team members are well-suited to our values and mission.
Your Skills and Experience:
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent qualification in child/adult care/support, or a willingness to work towards this.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and leading teams within a residential care setting.
  • A strong understanding of learning disabilities and special needs, including recent developments in the field.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality care that prioritizes the well-being and development of each student.
