Academic Mentor Opportunity

We are seeking talented graduates to join our team as Academic Mentors at a highly respected mixed-sex secondary school in North London. As an Academic Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic development of our students, particularly in Key Stage 3, 4, and 5.

Job Description:

As an Academic Mentor, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing academic support and guidance to students in a variety of subjects, including Science, Maths, English, and Geography.
  • Assisting students in breaking down complex concepts and simplifying them for better understanding.
  • Working collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to ensure students receive comprehensive support.
  • Developing and implementing effective learning strategies to support student progress.
Person Specification:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A 1st Class or 2:1 degree from a top University, preferably from the Russell Group, Redbrick, or Oxbridge.
  • Strong subject knowledge in one or more of the following subjects: Science, Maths, English, and Geography.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and other support staff.
  • A passion for education and a commitment to supporting the academic development of students.
