Position Overview
University College London Hospitals is looking to recruit a part-time Consultant specializing in Neurophysiology with a focus on Video-EEG telemetry. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care, pioneering service models, achieving performance objectives, and excelling in education and training.
This is a Permanent consultant role in Neurophysiology, offered on a 2-session basis, providing an opportunity to join a vibrant and growing department dedicated to the multidisciplinary management of patients with epilepsy.
The position is primarily situated within the Telemetry Unit and emphasizes the analysis of video-EEG telemetry studies. This role has emerged due to the expansion of the video-EEG telemetry service, which now includes home-based video-EEG studies.
The successful candidate will be expected to offer expertise in EEG and video-telemetry evaluations, including diagnostic assessments and pre-surgical evaluations. They will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team comprising consultant neurologists, neurophysiologists, clinical physiologists, and other members of the healthcare team. Responsibilities will include reporting on telemetry studies and occasionally covering ward duties.

Key Responsibilities
The appointee will engage in all departmental activities, including postgraduate education, clinical audits, and research initiatives. They will be responsible for clinical management tasks and will work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, demonstrating clinical leadership.
The primary aim of this role is to enhance the video-EEG telemetry service, particularly in reporting home and inpatient studies, with a special emphasis on home diagnostic evaluations. This position has been created to improve patient experiences and reduce waiting times through the provision of home-based telemetry services.
