Role Overview:
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be integral to the Kier Highways team, overseeing contracts across North & West Northamptonshire.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Management: Develop, monitor, and control budgets for highway projects, ensuring adherence to financial constraints.
- Contract Management: Draft and evaluate contract documents, including bills of quantities and specifications. Manage subcontractor agreements effectively.
- Financial Reporting: Generate monthly cost reports and financial statements. Conduct regular financial assessments and provide insights to senior management.
- Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and formulate strategies for mitigation. Maintain an updated risk register.
- Procurement: Oversee the procurement process for materials and subcontractors, negotiating contracts and pricing.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline is essential. A proven history in cost management, contract administration, and risk management is required. In-depth knowledge of construction contracts, laws, and regulations is crucial.
