Credit Policy and Governance Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Credit Policy and Governance professional to join our team at Centre People. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of our Governance team, ensuring that our credit risk management framework is robust and effective.
Main Responsibilities:- Develop and implement credit risk policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal guidelines.
- Provide guidance and support to staff on credit risk management, including the development of risk models and the analysis of credit data.
- Assess and challenge the design of management frameworks and reporting processes to ensure they are effective and efficient.
- Conduct root cause analyses to identify and recommend improvements to our credit risk management processes.
- Manage system change projects to improve our credit risk management systems and processes.
- Ensure that our department has adequate written policies and procedures in place with appropriate governance over responsible areas.
- Take ownership for the timely remediation of findings raised in operation reviews and work with our Operation Management function to ensure issues are appropriately resolved.
- Provide training to staff on credit risk management and internal policy and rules.
- Good understanding of credit risk policy, rules, and procedures, especially credit risk models and general operations and procedures in Front Office origination to execution.
- Relevant experience with the financial industry and related markets gained within an environment where a mature operational risk process has been developed.
- Excellent team worker with the ability to provide support and oversight of risk management frameworks.
- Ability to understand challenges, build new operational models, and communicate them to senior management.
- Excellent business analysis skills and able to be a go-to person quickly in a new field.
- Flexible and collaborative to achieve goals in complex and cross-organisational environments.
- Business level fluency in both English and Japanese.
- Excellent knowledge and experience in using big data on Excel, Access, and/or RDB.
Location: Central London
Salary: £350 – 400 per day depending on experience
Working Hours: 9:00-17:00 from Monday to Friday
