About the Role

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join a school in Southampton. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in promoting positive behaviour and fostering a supportive learning environment for students.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting teachers in implementing behaviour management strategies.
  • Providing one-on-one/Small group work support to students.
  • Collaborating with the school's SENCO and other professionals to create tailored intervention plans.
  • Supporting the overall well-being of students and contributing to a positive school ethos.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Relevant experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.
  • Understanding of behaviour management strategies and their application in a school environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient and empathetic approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
