We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Mobile Patrol Officer to join our team at Proforce Security Services Limited. As a Mobile Patrol Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of assigned properties through routine patrols, rapid response to incidents, and vigilant observation.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct regular and random mobile patrols of assigned areas, including parking lots, perimeters, and other designated zones, using a company-provided vehicle.
- Monitor surveillance systems to identify suspicious activities and ensure security protocols are being followed.
- Document and report any security breaches, hazards, or irregularities (e.g., unlocked doors, alarms not set, etc.).
- Respond promptly to alarms and emergencies such as fire, medical incidents, or unauthorized entry.
- Assist in the evacuation of premises in case of emergencies and provide support to emergency responders.
- Conduct initial investigations of incidents and provide detailed reports, including witness statements and photographic evidence if necessary.
- Provide a visible security presence to deter criminal activity and enhance safety.
- Offer assistance to clients, employees, and the general public, including providing directions, unlocking secured areas, or escorting individuals as needed.
- Handle conflicts and de-escalate situations calmly and professionally.
- Maintain accurate and thorough records of patrol activities, incidents, and any other relevant information.
- Complete daily activity logs, incident reports, and shift handover notes.
- Report any maintenance issues, such as lighting outages or damaged fences, to the appropriate personnel.
- Valid SIA License
- Full UK Driving License, and must be over 25 years old for fleet insurance purposes
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred.
- Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in stressful situations.
- Proficient in using security equipment and technology (e.g., surveillance cameras, communication devices).
- Physical fitness to perform patrol duties, including walking, driving, and occasional lifting
This role requires flexibility and the ability to work a range of shifts, including nights and weekends. The successful candidate must be able to commute to our office in Sheffield as their main hub.
