Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Water Network Installation Specialist to join our thriving Infrastructure Services team. As a rapidly growing organization, we offer a dynamic work environment and the opportunity to contribute to impactful projects within the infrastructure sector.

Purpose

To be responsible for the installation of water mains and services to the highest industry standards.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others, adhering to all health and safety protocols.
  • Conduct thorough safety checks and inspections of vehicles, equipment, and work sites as instructed.
  • Ensure compliance with health and hygiene regulations on site.
  • Prioritize environmental responsibility by preventing contamination of water supplies and courses, maintaining site cleanliness, minimizing waste, and respecting surrounding ecosystems.
  • Excavate holes using safe digging methods to avoid damage to underground utilities.
  • Handle materials, plant, and equipment with care and precision.
  • Install pipes and fittings according to industry standards, ensuring proper jointing techniques and hygiene practices are followed.
  • Operate company vehicles responsibly and in accordance with road traffic regulations for authorized business purposes.
  • Utilize mobile plant equipment safely and effectively for authorized business purposes.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and secure work site, vehicle, and equipment.
  • Construct and maintain road works to the highest industry standards.
  • Provide assistance and information to members of the public, clients' representatives, and officials regarding company business.
  • Maintain accurate records related to safety, environmental compliance, and quality assurance.
  • Report any accidents, near misses, faults, damages, or defects promptly using appropriate documentation.
  • Perform other reasonable tasks as assigned by management or supervision.
Qualifications
  • Water Safety 'Passport' (EUSR)
  • National Water Hygiene registration (EUSR)
  • NRSWA Units 1 & 2 (or equivalent)
  • Relevant experience in water network installation
