Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Water Service & Mains Laying Teams Operative to join our dynamic team in Washington. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the installation of mains and services to required standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to health and safety protocols.
  • Conduct regular safety checks and inspections of vehicles, plant, equipment, and sites.
  • Ensure all work is carried out with due regard to the environment and follows good hygiene practices.
  • Excavate holes using safe digging methods to avoid damage to underground utility apparatus.
  • Install pipes and fittings to the appropriate standards.
  • Operate mobile plant and drive company vehicles for authorized business purposes.
  • Maintain site, vehicle, plant, and equipment tidiness and security.
  • Install and maintain road works to 'Chapter 8' standard.
  • Assist members of the public, clients' representatives, and other officials in relation to company business.
  • Maintain safety, environmental, and quality records.
  • Report any accidents, near misses, faults, damages, or defects using appropriate documentation.

Requirements

  • Water Safety 'Passport' (EUSR)
  • National Water Hygiene registration (EUSR)
  • NRSWA (Units 1-3 minimum)
  • CSCS card
  • Cat & Genny
  • 360 operators ticket
  • Dumper operators ticket
  • Butt Fusion
  • Electro Fusion
  • First aid
