Job Title: Estimator - Aluminium Glazing Systems

At Mitchell Maguire, we are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team in the Aluminium Glazing Systems department.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Estimator to produce accurate and detailed estimates for the design, manufacture, and installation of aluminium curtain walling, windows, doors, and facades. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating and a proven track record of delivering high-quality tender returns.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Produce estimates for projects ranging in value from £100k to circa £10m
  • Review tender documents and create high-quality tender returns
  • Negotiate prices with the supply chain and gather quotations for projects
  • Liaise with main contractors throughout the project and beyond
  • Ensure the internal CRM system is regularly updated
  • Prepare handover documents for the contracts department, once a project has been secured
  • Attend pre and post-tender meetings as required
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of estimating experience within the UK construction industry
  • Strong background in architectural glazing, curtain walling, fire-rated glazing, and structural glazing
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • IT literacy (Microsoft Office)
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Proactive and motivated individual with strong commercial awareness
