Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our busy team at Focus Resourcing Group Careers. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing architectural specifications and drawings, building detailed quotations, and liaising with main contractors and supply chain partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing architectural specifications and drawings to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Building detailed quotations and proposals, including cost breakdowns and risk assessments.
  • Liaising with main contractors and supply chain partners to discuss specifications and resolve any issues.
  • Assessing the risk levels associated with a project and suggesting specification changes when necessary.
  • Assisting with bids for new contracts and supporting the activities of buyers.
  • Monitoring the costs at various stages of a project to ensure it stays within estimated costs.

Requirements:

  • Estimating experience within the Construction Industry, preferably with strong knowledge of windows and doors, including Aluminium and glazing.
  • Familiarity with in-house estimating systems.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Good numerical skills.
  • Computer literate and ideally with knowledge of pricing software.
  • Car driver ideally.
  • Ability to work in a team with a good sense of humour.

Benefits:

  • Hours: 8.30-5.00 Mon-Thursday, Friday finish at 13.00.
  • 21 days' holidays (one day per year till max 25 Days) plus Bank holidays.
  • Annual bonus based on company's profits.
