Production Test Engineer (Operations Test Systems Engineer)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Production Test Engineer to join our engineering department on a permanent basis. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting manufacturing and test activities, including the development, realization, and maintenance of production test equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Test Equipment Development: Define and develop test equipment and instrumentation, data capture, processing, and analysis.
- Manufacturing Support: Support manufacturing and product testing processes, ensuring effective test equipment and procedures are available to maintain a no-faults-forward supply chain.
- Documentation and Reporting: Create product and test documentation, including test plans, generation, and presentation of test reports.
- Hardware Design: Create detailed solutions to test rig hardware requirements, including hardware design.
Requirements:
- Electronic Principles: Understanding of electronic principles and logic circuits.
- Schematic Reading: Ability to read and understand schematics.
- Electronic Signal Processing: Good understanding of electronic signal processing and analysis using standard components.
- Fault-Finding Skills: Good electronic fault-finding skills.
- PCB Design: Experience with PCB design and associated software applications.
- Instrumentation Devices: Experience with instrumentation devices and calibration.
- Production Environment: Experience of working in a production/production support environment.
- Equipment Development: Experience of equipment development, programming, commissioning, and maintenance.
- Machine Building Principles: Experience of machine building principles, including safety of equipment.
