EV Charging Infrastructure Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Senior Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day operation and maintenance of Veolia's EV charging infrastructure across our London depots and fleet chargers scattered across the UK.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the procurement, management, and ongoing improvement of back office systems, chargers, maintenance, and service level agreements.
- Lead the transformation process of depot operations to electric, including the coordination of work with EVCI Operations Managers and on-site operators.
- Develop and implement solutions to minimize energy bills and lifecycle emissions of our electric fleet, such as smart charging, grid balancing services, and vehicle-to-grid.
- Closely engage with existing and prospective customers to demonstrate the reliability and performance of Veolia's electric operations.
- Act as a referent person in the company for the operation of EV Charging Infrastructure and electric fleet, demonstrating leadership skills and independence.
- Work with the Electrification team to provide feedback on depot design improvement measures and contribute to feasibility studies of new depot electrification.
- Collaborate with IT teams to develop reporting tools for both the business and customers, and integrate third-party solutions to existing ones.
- An excellent communicator at all levels of an organization, with the ability to listen for feedback and continuously train staff.
- A degree in engineering or a similar technical qualification.
- Experience in a similar role looking after the operation and maintenance of power equipment, ideally EV charging infrastructure.
- Knowledge of power systems, energy distribution at a site, electrical safety standards, and contract negotiation skills.
- Regular client exposure in a previous role, with experience in field services and project management.
- Experience with data analytics is a strong plus.
