Job Title: Global Portfolio Lead

Job Description:

Pelsis Group, a global provider of pest control solutions, is seeking an entrepreneurial Global Portfolio Lead to identify and exploit growth opportunities within a specified product portfolio across the group.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and own the portfolio strategic plan, operational plan, goals, and objectives.
  2. Contribute to the Regional Strategic Market Plans.
  3. Build the product roadmap based on insights and strategy for the portfolio.
  4. Responsible for the portfolio product lifecycle.
  5. Ensure the portfolio is in-line with Pelsis Vision.
  6. Responsible for running the Innovation Triangle (Portfolio, Marketing, R&D/Design) and the Commercial Triangle (Portfolio, Sales, and Marketing) for the portfolio.
  7. Competitor analysis, analyze market dynamics, and competitors.
  8. Understand user needs and develop relationships with key accounts.
  9. Track and follow customer and consumer trends.
  10. Propose ways to win market share in each market.
  11. Drive New Product Development, building global business cases, and working alongside engineering teams to ensure delivery to the brief.
  12. Work closely with Supply Chain teams to manage strategic suppliers.
  13. Lead portfolio discussions and presentations during range reviews.
  14. Work closely with Regional Product Managers, Sales Directors, and General Managers to define range and commercial strategy.
  15. Responsible for the portfolio catalogue, including unique selling propositions, together with product marketing.
  16. Responsible for price positioning (launch pricing and pricing management).
  17. Own the product messaging, working with Brand & Marketing for communications and POS definition.
  18. Develop product performance/testing methodologies.
  19. Line management of Global Portfolio Manager(s) as required.

Candidate Requirements:

  1. Proven work experience as Portfolio/Category/Product Lead or similar role.
  2. Experience of working within technical product roles is essential, with digital/connected technologies an advantage.
  3. Highly commercial, with an entrepreneurial approach.
  4. Innovative mindset.
  5. Strong influencing skills; Is impactful, motivational, and able to delegate and sell ideas.
  6. Outstanding communication skills.
  7. Ability to create high-level view and prioritize strategically.
  8. Data and analysis literate.
  9. Confident in data-led decision making.
  10. Experience of managing product-line profitability.
  11. Ability to work across channels and segment users.
  12. Ability to work with cross-functional and cross-regional teams.
  13. Fluent in Business-English.
  14. Candidate will need to ensure a regular presence in our West Midlands based development & manufacturing site, as well as occasional travel to the Group's regional offices, customers, suppliers, and tradeshows.
