Job Title: Autism Specialist Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Autism Specialist Teaching Assistant to join our team at a specialist school in Sheffield.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide 1-2-1 support to students with diverse needs, including Autism, learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and behavioural challenges. They will work collaboratively with the staffing team to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued and supported.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to students with Autism and other special needs
  • Assist in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to develop and implement individualized education plans
  • Support students with challenging behaviour and develop strategies to promote positive behaviour
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children and young people with special educational needs
  • Compassionate and patient approach
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability
  • Ability to work with challenging behaviour
What We Offer:
  • Competitive daily rate of £85-100
  • Permanent contracts available
