Position Overview / Key Responsibilities:
The Precision Machinist is accountable for the operation of manual machining equipment. This role includes conducting maintenance and repairs on machinery by executing the following tasks.

Additional Responsibilities / Expectations:

  • Reports directly to the Machine Shop Supervisor.
  • Notify your supervisor of any production discrepancies.
  • Promptly inform your immediate supervisor of any incidents or accidents as they occur.
  • Comply with Company Safety Policies and Procedures.
  • Consistently wear the necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Capable of performing basic housekeeping and machine upkeep.
  • Proficient in working with fractions, decimals, and trigonometric calculations.
  • Skilled in utilizing precision measurement tools.
  • Able to execute machine setups independently.
  • Conduct quality assessments on components using inspection tools.
  • Collaborate with your supervisor to ensure optimal production outcomes consistently.
  • Engage in discussions with the plant manager regarding process enhancements in the workshop.
  • Seek clarification when technical drawings are unclear or overly complex.
  • Competent in reading blueprints and machine schematics, as well as understanding manufacturing documentation and specifications.
  • Accurately log time on job orders.
  • Thoroughly verify completed tasks.
