Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Empowering Learning is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN teaching assistant to join our team. As a teaching assistant, you will work closely with a child with special educational needs, providing individualized support and creating a positive learning environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-to-one support to a child with special educational needs, promoting their academic and personal development.
  • Work collaboratively with the child's teacher and other support staff to develop and implement individualized learning plans.
  • Assist with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery, ensuring that the child's needs are met.
  • Support the child's social and emotional development, promoting independence and self-confidence.
  • Communicate effectively with the child, their family, and other professionals involved in their care.
Requirements:
  • A minimum Level 2 qualification in health and social care or a teaching assistant.
  • Experience of working with children with special educational needs, preferably in a school setting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meet the needs of the child.
  • DBS clearance and a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
