We are seeking a highly motivated and person-centred Relief Support Worker to join our team in the Darlington area. As a Relief Support Worker, you will provide flexible support to our service users with a range of support needs, including learning disabilities.

Our services provide care and support to individuals with a range of needs, enabling them to live independent and fulfilling lives. You will work with our service users to promote their self-esteem, happiness, and emotional health, and support them in maintaining the safety, security, and comfort of their homes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing person-centred support to our service users on a flexible relief basis
  • Assisting service users with the administration and monitoring of prescribed medication
  • Enabling service users to become as independent as possible and to grow in confidence, competence, and personal effectiveness
  • Supporting service users in maintaining the safety, security, and comfort of their homes
  • Promoting the self-esteem, happiness, and emotional health of service users

Experience is essential for this role, and an understanding of positive behaviour support is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
