Job Description

Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking a highly skilled Shipping Team Leader to join their team. As a key member of the organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the shipping process and ensuring seamless delivery of products to customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Shipping Process Management: Oversee the entire shipping process, from order receipt to delivery, ensuring timely and efficient execution.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of 3 and provide guidance, support, and training to ensure they have the necessary skills to perform their duties effectively.
  • Communication: Maintain open and transparent communication with internal stakeholders, including sales, customer service, and logistics teams, to ensure seamless coordination and execution of shipping activities.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve shipping-related issues promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve shipping processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Previous team lead experience in a shipping or logistics environment.
  • Skills: Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of product shipment procedures, including awareness of incoterms, and knowledge of letters of credit.
  • Education: Relevant degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
