Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking a highly skilled Shipping Administrator to join their team. As a key member of the logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth delivery of goods and services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the entire shipping process, from receipt of goods to delivery to customers.
- Coordinate with suppliers and carriers to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods.
- Monitor and track shipments to ensure they are delivered on time and in good condition.
- Prepare and manage shipping documents, including bills of lading and customs forms.
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely payment of shipping costs.
- Develop and maintain relationships with carriers and suppliers to negotiate better rates and services.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
Requirements
- Proven experience in shipping and logistics, preferably in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of shipping regulations and procedures.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in logistics or related field preferred.
