Mint Velvet is a fashion retailer that prides itself on creating high-quality, stylish clothing. As a Merchandising Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Merchandising team to maximize the profitability of our ranges, stores, and digital business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Merchandiser to analyze sales data and identify trends to inform buying decisions
- Develop and maintain accurate intake and delivery schedules to ensure timely receipt of merchandise
- Monitor and analyze department, product, and store performance to identify opportunities for growth and improvement
- Collaborate with the Buying team to negotiate prices and manage inventory levels
- Manage relationships with suppliers and freight forwarders to ensure smooth logistics
- Conduct weekly analysis of sales data to identify best and worst sellers and make recommendations for improvement
- Review and analyze performance at line, category, and department level to inform business decisions
Requirements:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficiency in MS Excel and other business software
