The Cybersecurity Solutions Architect plays a pivotal role within the Canon EMEA Information Security Department, tasked with shaping the strategic Security Roadmap, defining and executing the target enterprise security framework, and offering guidance to project teams to ensure adherence to Canon EMEA's security policies and architecture.

As a Cybersecurity Solutions Architect, your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing, defining, and maintaining the Security Roadmap for a five-year outlook, aligned with business and IT priorities.
  • Leading and supporting the establishment of security architecture direction and vision statements for new initiatives.
  • Actively participating in and consulting on projects as a member of the Project Design Authority.
  • Directing, reviewing, and approving high-level designs produced by the Project Design Office.
  • Collaborating closely with business stakeholders to gain a deep understanding of the business value chain and processes.
  • Ensuring sign-off from business and IT stakeholders for security initiatives.
  • Identifying opportunities for enhancing business and IT processes.
  • Keeping abreast of industry trends, best practices, and the evolving threat landscape.

What we seek

As a Cybersecurity Solutions Architect, you will need:

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in Information Security, with at least 4 years in an (Enterprise) Security Architecture role.
  • Professional experience encompassing all phases of an IT project from design through development, testing, implementation, and production.
  • In-depth knowledge of security domain-specific technologies and systems.
  • A broad understanding of adjacent domains and the overall technical landscape.
  • Awareness of relevant technologies in the broader industry, including their strengths and weaknesses.
  • The ability to engage with delivery and operational personnel on complex technical matters.
  • Expertise in Enterprise Architecture frameworks (TOGAF and/or SABSA), standard technologies (e.g., SOA), and modeling environments (e.g., UML).
  • Strong communication and presentation skills in English.
  • The capability to persuade and influence key stakeholders, including the ability to articulate complex technical issues to non-IT experts.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills, with the ability to evaluate costs, benefits, and other measurable features of potential options.
