About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Engineer to join our Quality team at Laing O'Rourke's Centre of Excellence for Modern Construction (CEMC) in Nottinghamshire.

Key Responsibilities
  • Formulate and drive the development and implementation of the CEMC Quality Management System, alongside the Quality Lead.
  • Ensure client and CEMC Quality requirements are understood, agreed, and built into a robust Project Quality Plan, and are subsequently executed effectively through the manufacturing process at CEMC.
  • Coordinate with Manufacturing Operations, Pre-cast Technical Solutions (PTS), Engineering and Project Coordination to control and improve the quality levels of goods and services.
  • Assist continuous improvement and product development, whilst always maintaining compliance with project specification.
  • Manage and develop temporary works systems for projects that improve manufacturing efficiency, safety and consistency, whilst ensuring specification requirements are achieved.
What We're Looking For
  • Experience within the Technical/Engineering function, ideally within a project execution remit (e.g Site/Section Engineer or equivalent).
  • Good understanding of concrete standards and specifications.
  • Good understanding of construction tolerances.
  • Strong decision maker.
  • Commercial awareness.
  • Ability to represent the business on Quality matters and be able to present on Quality performance.
