We are seeking an experienced Product Development Engineer to join our small, high-performing multi-discipline design team at Videojet Technologies. As an Engineering Technician, you will play a key role in the development of world-leading products, including thermal transfer, labeling, and inkjet printing machines.
Key Responsibilities- Hardware Development: You will be involved in the full life cycle of hardware development, from design requirements to product launch, working closely with global teams to deliver new products to market.
- Prototyping and Testing: You will assemble new design prototypes and product enhancements, providing suggestions and feedback on design for assembly and design for manufacture criteria. You will also conduct functional testing of hardware and software, accurately documenting and reporting results.
- Manufacturing Support: You will support manufacturing queries and new production introductions, including occasional domestic and international travel. You will also identify continuous improvement opportunities in process and procedures.
- Workshop Management: You will maintain safe and organized work areas, ensuring availability and functionality of tools and equipment.
- Education: HNC/HND in engineering/manufacturing or equivalent vocational training.
- Experience: Practical experience in light engineering, ideally with both mechanical and electrical assembly capabilities. Computer literate, proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Experience using CAD software and basic machining experience are advantages.
