Teaching Personnel is seeking dedicated Learning Support Assistants to work within a Special Needs school in Portsmouth.

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about supporting children with diverse needs and helping them reach their full potential.

About the Role
  • Plan and Deliver Individualized Support: Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create and implement tailored learning plans for students with a range of special educational needs (SEN).
  • Foster a Positive Learning Environment: Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment where students feel supported and encouraged to learn.
  • Engage in Play-Based Activities: Participate actively in play sessions, youth activities, and recreational programs, including swimming, ball games, arts and crafts, and music.
  • Effective Communication: Communicate clearly and respectfully with students, parents, teachers, and other staff members. Adapt your communication style to meet the individual needs of each student.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Keep detailed records of student progress, observations, and interventions as required.
  • Prioritize Safety and Well-being: Ensure the highest standards of safety and safeguarding for all students at all times.
Ideal Candidate Profile

We are seeking individuals who possess a genuine desire to work with children with special needs. While prior experience in SEN is beneficial, we welcome applications from candidates with transferable skills and a passion for making a difference.
