Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Capital Projects Manager to join our team at Executive Network Group. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing and supporting high-value capital projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-value capital projects (over £1 million) on time, within budget, and to specification.
  • Maintain the operational functionality of the plant through capital project and process improvement.
  • Write specifications and scopes of work, prepare requests for quotation, and review supplier bids to prepare justification and return on investment.
  • Lead and support projects to further improve plant key performance indicators (KPIs), such as overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
  • Deliver departmental capital expenditure projects and cost reduction projects.
  • Collaborate with the engineering and maintenance department to develop and implement capital projects.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety policies, procedures, and targets, and ensure contractors adhere to the same.

Requirements

  • A degree or HNC in an engineering discipline, ideally with project management qualifications.
  • Knowledge of production machinery, plant installation, and building facilities, ideally gained in a high-volume manufacturing or capital-intensive engineering environment.
  • A good understanding of health and safety and safe systems of work, including risk assessments, permits to work, etc.
  • A proven track record of delivering high-value capital projects to agreed specifications, on time, and to budget.
