About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure Solutions Specialist to join our team at Rentokil Initial. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing cloud-based solutions that meet the needs of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Deployment of Cloud Solutions
    • Design and deploy automated processes in Google Cloud to integrate Google APIs and other business systems.
    • Develop advanced Python code to interact with Google APIs and external tools such as ServiceNow.
  • Cloud Infrastructure Management
    • Administer and maintain Google Cloud add-ons such as Cloud DataFusion and Google Apigee Enterprise.
    • Manage cloud virtual networks and apply networking and routing concepts successfully.
  • Cloud Security and Compliance
    • Ensure the platform remains operational and is able to support the service levels of the hosted applications.
    • Maintain the enterprise-wide view of the consumers of the cloud resources, applications, owners, and technical contacts.
  • Cloud Automation and Optimization
    • Develop and implement automation scripts to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
    • Optimize and economize within cloud platforms, making use of Committed Use Discounts, scaling up and down, selecting the most efficient storage and compute options, and global region selection.
Requirements
  • Expertise in Cloud Automation
    • Advanced knowledge of Python programming language and experience with Google Cloud Run and Cloud Functions.
    • Experience with ServiceNow administration and integration.
  • Cloud Infrastructure Knowledge
    • Thorough understanding of networking and routing concepts and experience with cloud virtual networks.
    • Experience with Google Cloud IAM and Load Balancing technologies.
  • Cloud Security and Compliance
    • Experience with authentication methods, OAuth, token exchange, and identity federation methods.
    • Knowledge of App Engine Flex and Standard, API Gateway, Cloud Endpoints, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, BigQuery, and Looker.
  • Soft Skills
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
    • Ability to produce clear and comprehensive documentation.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience with Infrastructure As Code technologies such as Terraform.
  • Database knowledge and SQL skills, ideally with experience of Cloud Spanner, BigQuery, CloudSQL.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment following Agile methodologies.
