Position Summary
The role of Senior Mechanical Estimator is crucial within our pre-construction division, where you will be responsible for generating accurate and competitive estimates for a variety of projects. You will work closely with project managers and stakeholders, utilizing advanced estimating software to create comprehensive cost plans and proposals.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate precise and detailed estimates using the latest estimating software.
- Evaluate mechanical quotations both technically and commercially upon receipt.
- Collaborate with procurement and operations teams throughout the tender and project planning phases.
- Engage in design development to evaluate buildability, materials, innovation, and cost efficiency.
- Prepare technically sound estimates for Mechanical Engineering projects based on drawings and specifications.
- Provide early-stage pricing during the Tender process to identify cost-effective solutions.
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive salary up to £95,000 depending on experience.
- 22 days of annual leave plus public holidays.

- Demonstrated experience as a Senior Mechanical Estimator with a minimum of 3 years in a similar role.
- Expertise in Trimble software for estimating purposes.
- Strong analytical capabilities for interpreting technical documents and drawings.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
