AtkinsRéalis is a leading engineering and design consultancy with a strong presence in the UK's infrastructure projects. Our Sustainable Land & Resource Management Practice is a well-established, award-winning team with a diverse portfolio of regeneration and development projects.

We are seeking an Associate/Associate Director with a strong technical background and experience in contaminated land to join our team in the North East and Scotland. The successful candidate will be responsible for project management and technical leadership of contaminated land-focused projects, including the management of finances, programme delivery, and technically reviewing others' work.

Responsibilities:
  • Project management and technical leadership of contaminated land-focused projects
  • Lead on work-winning, client development, and proposal preparation
  • Liaison with clients, stakeholders, regulators, sub-contractors, and internal disciplines
  • Work effectively as part of a team and with other professionals to provide a consistent and integrated service to clients
  • Maintain excellent professional relationships to secure repeat business
  • Compliance with Health and Safety Policies and Procedures
  • Provide technical guidance, support, and mentoring to junior staff
Requirements:
  • Proven track record of providing technical advice on contaminated land investigation, assessment, and remediation
  • Proven track record of project management of contaminated land/brownfield projects
  • Working knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, technical guidance, industry standards, and best practice
  • Experience in preparing and reviewing technical reports
  • Experience of winning work, including commercial awareness and understanding
  • Relevant post-graduate experience
  • Chartered Membership of a relevant professional body
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to manage and mentor staff
