About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced ESG Consultant to join our team at Workingmums. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in developing and delivering our work across our service areas, including ESG strategy and materiality, Reporting and disclosure, and Social and community impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Engagement: Understand and interpret client needs, clearly communicating client goals to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze data, making clear judgements about content and its presentation.
  • Reporting and Presentations: Prepare and deliver presentations and reports for clients.
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate across multiple projects, ensuring milestones and action items are met within agreed timelines and there is clear communication with clients.
Business Development and Thought Leadership
  • Proposal Development: Draft and develop proposals with support from senior team members. Plan and participate in new business pitches, including research and project scoping.
  • Tool Development: Work with colleagues to develop new and innovative tools related to ESG indices, ratings, and frameworks services.
  • Thought Leadership: Contribute to SLR's thought leadership through research, drafting articles and blogs.
  • Industry Knowledge: Keep abreast of ESG landscape including regulatory requirements and best practices.
About You

We are looking for someone in the early stages of their ESG advisory career, with some experience but searching for the opportunity to expand on your skills and grow professionally.

  • ESG Experience: Proven experience in ESG, sustainability, business, or consulting.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills – ability to communicate confidently with clients, explain complex information, and produce high-quality deliverables.
  • Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical skills - ability to distil quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Time and Project Management: Good time and project management skills.
Desirable Skills
  • ESG Materiality Assessments: Experience of ESG materiality assessments.
  • Social Impact Assessment: Experience of social impact assessment.
  • ESG Index and Framework Experience: Experience of supporting company responses to external ESG indices and frameworks such as DJSI, CDP, SASB.
  • Excel-Based Tools: Experience of developing Excel-based tools.
