We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Senior Health Care Support Worker to join our Community Learning Disability Health Team in Barnsley. Key Responsibilities- Under the supervision of registered healthcare professionals, you will provide psychological and physical care to a defined group of people, promoting their recovery and rehabilitation potential.
- You will develop and maintain meaningful therapeutic relationships with individuals, adopting a polite, positive, and empathetic approach to communication.
- As part of a healthcare team, you will provide the highest standards of safe and compassionate care, assessing, problem-solving, and reporting any issues in a timely and proactive manner.
- You will contribute to the initial assessment, admission, and discharge process, formulating and implementing individualized packages of care to maximize service user recovery and rehabilitation potential.
- You will work effectively, professionally, and independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team, demonstrating initiative, decision-making, and prioritization skills.
- You will have a GCSE A-D or grade 3-9 in Maths and English or equivalent, and an Apprenticeship level 3 or equivalent in Health and Social Care.
- You will have a Care Certificate or be required to achieve it within 12 weeks of commencement.
- You will be willing and able to undertake all appropriate Trust mandatory training requirements and subsequent refresher training relevant to the area.
- You will have a responsive attitude and approach, dress appropriately for the environment, and have a current driving license and access to a car during the working day.
