FI Real Estate Management Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out electrical maintenance and installation works, as well as providing reactive repairs and site cover as required.
Key Responsibilities:- Electrical Maintenance: Ensure that planned preventative maintenance is carried out in line with task schedules and industry best practices.
- Defect Identification: Identify any defects found and report them to the line manager, providing a parts list and estimated timescale for remedial works.
- Reactive Repairs: Attend site and carry out reactive repairs as instructed by the administration team.
- Professional Image: Maintain a professional image of FI Real Estate Management Ltd at all times.
- Relationship Building: Establish and maintain a good working relationship with all FI Real Estate Management Ltd employees and clients' representatives.
- Health and Safety: Ensure the provision of a safe and healthy working environment.
- Reporting: The post holder does not have any directly reporting staff.
- Budgetary Responsibility: This post carries no direct budgetary responsibility.
- Education: A good basic education is essential, with good written and spoken English and basic mathematical skills.
- Recognised Technical Qualifications: Recognised electrical qualifications, including City and Guilds Inspection and testing, City and Guilds 18th edition, and EAL Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Installing Electrotechnical Systems and Equipment.
- Training: IPAF, PASMA, Asbestos Awareness, Health and Safety, Working at height, and First Aid.
- Experience: Essential experience of working to planned preventative maintenance regimes, installation and maintenance of electrical services, electrical testing to BS7671, and fault finding on electrical circuits.
- Desirable Experience: Experience of general building management systems, knowledge of lone working requirements, risk assessment training, and use of CAFM Apps.
- Aptitudes: Good verbal communication skills at all levels, good written English skills, able to acquire and maintain sufficient knowledge of a building's operation and services, and able to work outside of main discipline.
- Character: Committed to the delivery of excellent customer service, able to liaise directly with client FM managers and action their requirements to agreed standards, able to work under pressure, able to make sound decisions when needed, physically fit and able to carry tools and components by hand up to 20kg, able to ascend/descend vertical access equipment, able to work at height, and a team player.
- Circumstances: Must be flexible regarding working hours, must be able to drive considerable distances using a company vehicle, must be able to occasionally stay away from home, and driving licence essential.
- Holidays: 25 holidays per year, plus UK bank holidays.
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday.
