Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and inspirational leader to galvanize our response to Child to Parent Violence and Abuse (CAPVA) in the Merseyside area. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in coordinating, training, and supporting professionals to recognize and respond to CAPVA.

About the Role

This is a second-tier role that involves:

  • Mapping and coordinating current CAPVA interventions to identify systemic gaps in provision
  • Developing and building a delivery plan focusing on identified gaps, building on current provision, and providing training in identified areas of need
  • Collaborating with service users, practitioners, specialist organizations, and researchers to build solutions

Key Responsibilities

As a Merseyside Regional Lead, you will be responsible for:

  • Engaging with professionals across services dedicated to children and young people, including health, education, early help, and children's services
  • Removing barriers families face in accessing support by ensuring staff in universal services can recognize and respond to CAPVA
  • Reducing stigma and shame associated with CAPVA and ensuring parents can reach out in confidence that they will be listened to and supported

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A background of working with young people who harm and training experience
  • A non-judgmental approach
  • Extensive CAPVA knowledge is not required, as full training will be given
