Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Pharmacy Technician to join our Aseptic Services team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient provision of chemotherapy services to our patients.

Main Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the activities of the aseptic unit, managing staff placement and ensuring safe working practices.
  • Ensure aseptic duties are carried out according to national standards, working towards regional and national accreditations.
  • Act as a role-model and provide mentoring to new and junior staff, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Line manage designated team members, taking responsibility for performance reviews and objective setting.

Requirements
  • NVQ Level 3 in pharmacy services or equivalent BTEC in pharmaceutical Science.
  • Significant experience working in a hospital pharmacy, with a strong background in aseptic services.
  • Registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the GPhC or registered as a Science Manufacturing Technician through an appropriate industry body.
