Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced pharmacy technician to join our Aseptic pharmacy team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing assistance in the provision of pharmacy aseptic services, including supervision of staff, organisation of day-to-day activities, preparation of cytotoxic products, and monitoring of the environment.

Main Duties of the Job

The successful candidate will be responsible for participating in the coordination of activities for the aseptic unit, supervising staff placement, and ensuring safe working practices within the unit. They will also be responsible for ensuring that aseptic duties are carried out according to national standards and working towards achieving regional/national accreditations.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have significant experience working in a hospital pharmacy and within a pharmacy aseptic unit. They will also have a strong understanding of aseptic unit procedures and systems, as well as pharmacy dispensing procedures and systems. Additionally, they will have experience of staff supervision and be able to implement SOPs and suggest changes to working and training practices.
