Year 6 Class Teacher Part-Time Opportunity

Tradewind Recruitment is delighted to be working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school located in the heart of Walthamstow, Waltham Forest. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Year 6 class teacher to join the team on a part-time basis (3 days per week - Wed-Fri), starting in January 2024.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a supportive school community where you can make a real difference to pupils as they prepare for their transition to secondary school. As a Year 6 teacher, you will play a pivotal role in helping pupils achieve their full potential, especially in the run-up to their SATs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging lessons, ensuring that children of all abilities are challenged and supported.
  • Work closely with a friendly and experienced Key Stage 2 team to plan and assess lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
  • Contribute to creating a positive, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 2, preferably Year 6
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum
  • Passion for helping children thrive academically and socially
