Job Title: Year 6 Class Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate educator to join our dynamic team as a Year 6 Class Teacher in a vibrant primary school in South East London.

About the Role:

As a Year 6 Class Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in preparing students for their transition to secondary education. Your passion, expertise, and commitment to academic excellence will guide students through this important year, ensuring they are equipped with the skills and confidence for their next educational journey.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality and engaging lessons across the Year 6 curriculum, including English, Mathematics, Science, and more.
  • Prepare students for key assessments, including SATs, providing effective support and guidance.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and fosters a love for learning.
  • Provide guidance and pastoral support to students, helping them navigate the challenges of their final year in primary school.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and parents to ensure students receive comprehensive support and guidance.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching in Key Stage 2, preferably in Year 6.
  • Strong understanding of the Year 6 curriculum and assessment requirements, including SATs.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create a supportive and engaging learning environment.
  • Effective communication skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
