Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Finance Manager to join our Financial Transformation and Strategy team at London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the efficiency and planning reporting and scoping activities within the Trust, and will be responsible for facilitating the organisation in delivering and identifying efficiency opportunities through the use of national benchmarking tools and finance innovation.

Main Duties of the Job

The post holder will provide comprehensive financial advice to the Transformation function and the wider organisation on various programmes of work related to waste reduction opportunities. This will include:

  • Delivering high calibre finance support and leadership for the Trust's Waste Reduction Programme
  • Contributing to idea generation in how the finance & transformation function supports Divisions and Corporate functions
  • Providing financial information, advice and support to the Transformation Team
  • Developing and maintaining financial performance dashboards
  • Assisting Directors and Managers in identifying and achieving efficiency targets, income generation targets and ensuring value for money
  • Reviewing the Trust's costs relative to national norms and other provider units
  • Increasing the financial capability of management teams through the provision of financial awareness training and continuous support

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A qualified accountant (CCAB or equivalent)
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience working within a finance setting (preferably management accounting or similar)
  • NHS finance experience (desirable)
