Job Summary:

Lloyd Barnes Accountancy Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Credit Controller to join our team on a part-time, permanent basis. As a Credit Controller, you will play a crucial role in managing the Sales Ledger function, ensuring the smooth operation of our client's financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pursue outstanding debts through professional communication and correspondence.
  • Record and manage daily customer receipts and banking transactions.
  • Allocate payments and reconcile customer accounts in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Address and resolve customer inquiries regarding their accounts in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records.
  • Generate weekly Aged Debtors reports with detailed commentary to inform business decisions.
  • Prepare and issue Sales invoices and Credit Notes in accordance with company policies.
  • Collaborate with senior management to assess debts and decide on potential legal actions.
  • Monitor the Finance mailbox and respond to customer inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Provide support to the finance team during absences and assist with various ad-hoc tasks and special projects as required.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in Credit Control with a strong understanding of sales ledger accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in reconciliations and financial analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve complex financial issues.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and advanced Excel skills.
  • Familiarity with Sage 200 accounting software would be advantageous, but training can be provided for the right candidate.
