Job Summary:
Lloyd Barnes Accountancy Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Credit Controller to join our team on a part-time, permanent basis. As a Credit Controller, you will play a crucial role in managing the Sales Ledger function, ensuring the smooth operation of our client's financial processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pursue outstanding debts through professional communication and correspondence.
- Record and manage daily customer receipts and banking transactions.
- Allocate payments and reconcile customer accounts in a timely and accurate manner.
- Address and resolve customer inquiries regarding their accounts in a courteous and professional manner.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records.
- Generate weekly Aged Debtors reports with detailed commentary to inform business decisions.
- Prepare and issue Sales invoices and Credit Notes in accordance with company policies.
- Collaborate with senior management to assess debts and decide on potential legal actions.
- Monitor the Finance mailbox and respond to customer inquiries in a timely manner.
- Provide support to the finance team during absences and assist with various ad-hoc tasks and special projects as required.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in Credit Control with a strong understanding of sales ledger accounting principles.
- Proficiency in reconciliations and financial analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve complex financial issues.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and advanced Excel skills.
- Familiarity with Sage 200 accounting software would be advantageous, but training can be provided for the right candidate.
