Job Opportunity:

Mechanical and Electrical Project Engineer

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Mechanical and Electrical Project Engineer to join our team at ZipRecruiter. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality projects from conception to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Coordination: Read, review, and understand project-specific specifications to ensure successful project delivery.
  2. Procurement and Supply Chain Management: Procure sub-contractors, kit, and plant to meet project requirements.
  3. Value Engineering: Explore opportunities to improve project efficiency and reduce costs.
  4. Design Review: Ensure electrical and mechanical services are 'buildable' and align with project specifications.
  5. Subcontractor Management: Coordinate and manage electrical and/or mechanical subcontractors to ensure timely completion.
  6. Commissioning and Testing: Oversee commissioning and testing to ensure project quality and safety standards are met.
  7. Commercial Management: Work with our Quantity Surveyor to manage commercial accounts, including sub-contractor accounts and variations.

Requirements:

  1. Education and Qualifications: A degree, HND, HNC, or other relevant qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or significant relevant experience in either discipline.
  2. Experience: Experience working on commercial projects with a minimum value of £3M.
