Job Summary:

SR2 is seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Lead to support the building of a new data office within a government body. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in establishing a data advisory group and driving cultural change across the programme.

About the Role:

This is a long-term, rolling contract that requires active SC clearance. As a Data Governance Lead, you will be responsible for:

  • Building a Data Office: Collaborate with stakeholders to establish a data office that meets the needs of the Home Office department, Data Services & Analytics.
  • Enabling a Data Advisory Group: Develop and implement a data advisory group that provides strategic guidance on data governance and quality.
  • Driving Cultural Change: Foster a culture of data-driven decision making across the programme.
  • Running and Refining CDDO Maturity Assessments: Conduct regular assessments to evaluate the maturity of data governance practices and develop a roadmap for improvement.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience with DAMA Approaches: Apply a DAMA approach to data quality, metadata management, and other related areas.
  • Active SC Clearance: Hold active SC clearance to meet the requirements of the role.
  • Strong Consulting Experience: Demonstrate strong consulting experience, with a focus on data governance and quality.
  • Data Quality/Metadata Management Experience: Possess experience in data quality and metadata management, with a strong understanding of data governance principles.
