Junior Electrical Design Engineer

We are seeking a talented and motivated Junior Electrical Design Engineer to join our growing team in Blackburn. In this role, you will play a vital part in the design and development of innovative switchgear solutions.

Your Responsibilities
  • Create detailed electrical designs for switchboards and associated products, ensuring they meet client specifications and industry standards.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales team to understand customer requirements and translate them into technical designs.
  • Ensure all issued drawings are accurate, controlled, and easily understood by production teams.
  • Provide technical support to the sales team in resolving design-related issues for both new and existing products.
  • Work with 2D and 3D designers to maintain an accurate library of electrical components and designs.
  • Utilize AutoCAD software to add tags and annotations to existing drawings.
Your Qualifications
  • Relevant experience in a switchgear production environment (electrical) will be considered in lieu of a third-level qualification.
  • A strong understanding of electrical fundamentals and circuit design principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
  • A methodical approach to problem-solving and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with electrical engineering drawings, such as single-line diagrams and schematics, is advantageous.
