Join Our Team as a Mobile Gas Engineer

Position Overview:

We are seeking skilled Mobile Gas Engineers to serve the Nottingham and Leicester regions. This role is crucial in ensuring the safety and efficiency of gas and water systems.

Salary and Benefits:

The annual salary for this position is £41,917.83, complemented by a standby allowance of approximately £290 per week when on call, as well as overtime compensation for additional duties. Employees enjoy 22.5 days of annual leave, increasing to 25 days after five years of service, in addition to public holidays.

Contract Type:

This is a permanent, full-time position requiring 37.5 hours of work per week. Standard working hours are from 08:00 to 16:00, Monday through Friday. Participation in the standby/call-out rota is required, with a typical rotation of one week in four.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Mobile Gas Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting technical diagnostics and providing solutions for gas and hot & cold water systems.
  • Performing routine maintenance checks and fault-finding on various systems.
  • Engaging with customers to address their needs and concerns.
  • Traveling within the designated area to perform duties effectively.

You will report directly to the Technical Service Manager and collaborate with fellow engineers and subcontractors on a daily basis.

Candidate Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A valid Commercial gas qualification/certification (COCN1 or CODNCO1) and Gas Safe registration.
  • Accreditations in commercial gas modules, including CIGA1, CORT1, CENWAT, and TPCP1A, are preferred.
  • Experience in maintaining gas equipment and water systems.
  • Desirable supplementary electrical skills, such as the 18th edition.
  • Proficiency in completing job certificates electronically.
  • A full UK driving license, as travel is a key component of this role.
  • Strong customer liaison skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • A good level of computer literacy.
