Key Responsibilities
Your primary duties will involve performing gas-related tasks to repair, maintain, and refurbish various council properties, both occupied and vacant.
You will interact with tenants, leaseholders, and other stakeholders to assess their needs, provide expert advice, and keep them informed of progress.
This role requires collaboration with fellow engineers, sharing insights, organizing tasks to meet deadlines, and ensuring a clean and orderly work environment.
Regular communication with management will be essential to report any health and safety concerns and to ensure that all gas safety checks and documentation are accurately completed.
Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate will possess valid ACS qualifications - CCN1, CENWAT, CPA1, HTR1 & CKR1, along with experience in servicing and maintaining gas appliances and domestic heating systems.
You should be adept at troubleshooting gas faults, implementing solutions, and executing installations in compliance with design specifications and current building regulations.
Strong time management skills and the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of customers, including vulnerable individuals, are essential.
A confident communicator with a friendly and professional demeanor is required.
A full driving license is mandatory.
