Position Overview:

Join our dynamic Site Services Engineering Team as an Engineering Technician on a temporary contract. This role is essential for maintaining the facilities and utilities that support our operations. You will play a crucial part in enhancing Safety & Quality initiatives, engineering projects, and plant improvements, ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards and both internal and external regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide daily repair support for production and plant equipment, as well as building services and utilities.
  • Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance tasks, assist with area projects, and support new product introductions.
  • Manage Engineering Change Control processes, including initiation, completion, and sign-off.
  • Engage in MERPS activities, including orders, notifications, and data maintenance, while ensuring the timely procurement of plant spares.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety and quality, and upgrade equipment as necessary.
  • Oversee building infrastructure tasks related to fabric, electrical systems, piped services, drainage, and effluent management.
  • Operate and maintain major utility systems, including boilers, air compressors, combined heat and power (CHP) systems, and refrigeration units.
  • Monitor utility systems and respond to alarms through the site's Building Management System (BMS).
  • Assist in the Calibration Laboratory with the calibration of site instruments and maintain Quality water plants and HVAC systems.
Qualifications & Skills:

We seek candidates with the following qualifications:
  • Relevant qualifications and/or experience, such as an Engineering Apprenticeship with an industrial focus.
  • A multi-skilled technician with an Engineering HNC and practical engineering knowledge.
  • Demonstrated competence in current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP).
  • Extensive experience in a complex GMP environment.
  • Proficient knowledge in maintaining and troubleshooting modern utilities and building services equipment.
